and some possibly believe in it just as much as you did when you were a witness.
to save me some time please, lovely people, as i am very lazy - could you share with me why you do or don't believe in it - what evidence there is either way and if there are any particular books that you found helpful in coming to your conclusions?

NIV Life Application Study Bible was recommended to me when I first came away from the NWT. The commentary is very useful.
Reading another bible is a breath of fresh air compared to the NWT but it did make me mad to see how much the BORG had changed the bible to suit their doctrines.

My babies, especially my oldest who's just mastering talking and who's just TOO cute! My hubby, great friends, a good movie with the one you love, scrumptious food, dancing, beautiful crisp, cold, bracing, sunny days in Autumn walking through the leaves, the sun on the water that makes it look like liquid silver and crystals, laughter, sex, touch, passion, connection, good wine, playing games, driving to good music, live bands, freedom, painting with my children, books, massage, hugs, my mum and dad.
So many, many things.
Life is so precious and full of wonder and joy.
I love being alive!!!! -

Flipper - I wish you all the best with your daughters - and if any one can help you I really feel that Hassan's advice is some of the best you can put into practice (not that I've had any success myself but I know other posters that use his approach and have made some headway - they're prepared for the long haul though).
Keep us updated as to what you think as you're reading it and what you think might help specifically where your daughters are concerned. -

Great book - you'll be shaking your head all the way through with all the information that confirms we were in a cult (haven't read it cover to cover but most of it - Besty made me admit this....)
Not sure if an active dub not having doubts would really see the whole picture and apply it to themselves - the last person to agree their in a cult is a cult member!
But, thought provoking for those who have doubts and confirmation to those who are in no doubt.
Just started reading the second book - Releasing the Bonds - and he has just mentioned Jehovah's Witnesses...... -

Missing friends
by purplesofa inover the years i have made many friends online that are jw's.
when my doubts were such with the organization that i was full on posting here, little by little i withdrew from my jw friends online and in person.
no explanation, i have not responded to emails over time, and just let those friendships die down.. out of respect.......i felt sneaky in my researching the organization and just was not sure where my thoughts and feelings were going to land.. today, i unblocked someone on my messenger to chat with them.

I know how you feel, I get these days all the time.
There's no escaping grief and mourning the loss of precious friendships - it's not natural to lose these friends totally - especially when they're all still alive, it is natural to feel grief so don't beat yourself up about it, ride it, it makes you human. But don't give up hope - I've been making contact with old friends I haven't seen for 15/20 years and it feels great.
You'll never replace those friends you still miss though and who are still die-hards, it comes with the territory, but there is always hope.
Feeling your pain, hang in there.

A New Kitten . . . (Katie Kitten)

katie kitten (louise) text me last night at 11.30pm to tell me to tell you all she's had a litter of one.
a little boy, josef jack, 8lb 14oz, born 5.55am on nov 15th.. she apparently had a long and somewhat rough time of it and is gonna be in hospital a day or two.. i'll be the first to say congratulations.
